2021 Christmas message from CEO Jane Edge

Video transcript

While 2021 has been another incredibly challenging year, this is a moment to pause and wish you and your families a very blessed Christmas season and my best wishes for the New Year ahead.

Through your generosity this year, CBM has helped close to five million of the world’s most vulnerable people in the poorest places – people with disabilities, and those at risk, along with their families and wider communities.

Miracles Day was a spectacular expression of the compassion of our supporters in restoring sight to those needlessly blind through cataract. And this Christmas season we’re especially thankful for our Hope Growers whose giving was a catalyst for vital work.

And even now, we know the challenges and uncertainty of the pandemic continue. The harsh reality is that people with disabilities will continue to be catastrophically impacted. Their lives and health remain at grave risk.

As we celebrate the joy of Christmas, if you’re able to, please share this feeling of hope through CBM’s Meaningful Gifts.

CBM’s Meaningful Gifts can help transform lives. I’ve seen this work firsthand and know the extraordinary difference your support makes. Simply head to our website cbm.org.au

Your support blesses so many. Thank you for being part of this movement of the heart that is CBM’s work…our work together.

And again, I wish you peace and joy this Christmas season.
