Video transcription
Hi, I’m Jane Edge, the Chief Executive of CBM Australia and I’m here in Ethiopia seeing our Sight-Saving programmes on the ground.
You might wonder what a water supply has to do with preventing blindness but actually personal hygiene, latrines and clean, safe water are critical to stopping the spread of trachoma, which is a huge problem in Ethiopia, and when it’s left untreated, it leads to blindness. So it’s wonderful to visit these ladies and see how much this well is making a difference in their lives and the entire community.
