CBM Australia supported the Children and Adults’ Physical Disability Rehabilitation (CAPDR) Project, a three-year initiative designed to improve the quality of life of people with physical disabilities in Nepal. Working across four districts, the project combined community based rehabilitation services, assistive technology, corrective surgery and follow-up support with investments in health system strengthening through training, resources, and local partnerships.
The project reached more than 5,000 people through mobile rehabilitation camps, supported 577 corrective surgeries, provided assistive technology to 897 people, and trained 161 people in rehabilitation and disability inclusion. Beyond these achievements, the project contributed to stronger local rehabilitation systems, increased government ownership, and greater inclusion of people with disabilities in community life. This report presents the key findings from the end-of-project evaluation.
