Ruci is joining us at Voices for Justice 2019

Ruci Senikula from Fiji is joining CBM Australia at Voices for Justice this year.
Ruci is passionate about the issues faced by young people with disabilities and has worked with the Pacific Disability Forum (PDF) since 2013. She’s responsible for PDF’s work in the areas of Youth, Indigenous People with Disabilities, as well as budgeting, which is inclusive of the needs of people with disabilities.
Ruci is a keen advocate of disability inclusive development where the voices of people with disabilities and their representative organisations are heard. She promotes the importance of informing all aspects of development at community, national and regional levels with disability inclusive perspectives and language.
Ruci lives her Christian faith in practice with Horeb Christian Disability Ministry – a Ministry established to address the spiritual needs, growth and development of people with disabilities in Fiji.
PDF is a regional peak body that works in partnership with Disabled Persons Organisations (DPOs) across the Pacific region. PDF provides leadership and serves as the regional focal point on disability issues in the Pacific. It also supports the various national DPOs; donor and development partners; and civil society and the private sector, in the quest to ensure that people with disabilities live in an inclusive, barrier-free and rights-based society in Pacific Island countries and territories.
PDF has over 70 members in 22 countries across the Pacific and works with Australia’s DFAT, New Zealand’s MFAT, Pacific regional governments and UN agencies.
Ruci is attending Voices for Justice in 2019 with the support of CBM Australia.
