Jane Edge speaks to ABC Weekend Breakfast on the Nepal floods and how CBM is responding

CBM Australia CEO Jane Edge joined ABC Weekend Breakfast on 6 September to discuss the devastating impact of the Nepal floods on people with disabilities, and how CBM and its local partners are helping communities access food, safe water, medical care, assistive devices, mental health support and longer-term recovery services.

In the interview, Jane explains why people with disabilities face increased risks during disasters and why an inclusive emergency response needs to consider both immediate survival needs and disability-specific support from the start.

Jane also highlights how early support can help lay the foundations for recovery, giving families and communities a pathway from despair towards hope.
