State-level NGOs supported the development of local self-help groups and OPDs that influenced local government for inclusion.

India provided an example of CBID development where local NGOs facilitated and mobilised access to improve sustainable livelihood opportunities by linking local OPDs and self-help groups with mainstream livelihood training initiatives as well as financial institutions. India had many government schemes to support disability but knowledge of these supports was low. NGOs help people with disabilities access these entitlements. The case study shows examples of approaches supported by CBM in Uttar Pradesh.
