“I would like to be able to see things clearly again.” – Patrick, 13 years old
Patrick from Papua New Guinea loves playing rugby with his friends and learning at school – especially his favourite subject, maths! He hopes to be the Pastor of a local church when he grows up.
But at just 13 years old, Patrick is already going needlessly blind from cataracts.
Please will you send a Miracle gift of $33 to restore the sight of a child like Patrick?
I’m so passionate about CBM that I’ve been helping with Miracles Day for the last 10 years.
You can’t change the world on your own. But you can change the world for one person!
That’s what CBM do day-in, day-out, and it’s why they’re my favourite charity.
Please will you change a life like Patrick’s forever through your Miracle Gift of Sight?
Lucy
If you can help him see, Patrick can grow up to lift himself out of poverty
Patrick is so eager to learn, but it’s incredibly difficult when he is losing his sight. And tragically, his vision is growing worse by the day.
“When I go to school, I find it difficult to see my teachers’ writings clearly.” – Patrick
Patrick’s ability to do everything he enjoys is slipping away.
And without sight, his chance of building a life where he can live independently and achieve his aspirations is fading away too.
But you can change all that right now.
Because Patrick needs a Miracle. And you can help make it happen!
Would you believe that for just $33, you can stop someone from going needlessly blind?
That’s how much sight-saving surgery costs. It only takes around 12 minutes to perform cataract surgery, yet it can change someone’s life forever.
But this sight-saving surgery needs to happen very soon for Patrick, before his developing eyesight becomes permanently affected by the impact of cataracts in his young eyes.
Please act as soon as you can!
Patrick can’t hold on much longer. The longer he waits, his chance of receiving successful sight-saving surgery gets smaller.
Patrick’s mother hopes desperately for her son’s sight to be restored
“I noticed that he kept moving the paper closer to his eyes… and I was thinking, is there a problem with his eyes?” – Michl, Patrick’s mother
Imagine the fears Patrick’s mother Michl must feel… Will he ever be able to finish school and gain an education? Will he ever be able to live on his own? Could he ever work, provide for his family, and achieve his dreams?
“Patrick is a good boy. He likes to walk around, and he also likes to do work. And he doesn’t like to sit around and do nothing… his future is very important.” – Michl, Patrick’s mum
This is why families like Patrick’s are praying for a Miracle like yours to prevent someone they love from going needlessly blind.
Please will you make a generous donation of $33 to bring the Miracle Gift of Sight into the lives of a family like Patrick’s today?
Without help from people like you, children like Patrick may never receive the surgery they need
Families like Patrick’s work hard but they barely earn enough for food and other basic needs. The cost of specialist eye surgery is simply out of the question.
But you can help make a Miracle happen today! You can let God work through you to help Patrick and more children like him.
