What do you think including people with disabilities looks like in your church? Ramps, handrails, accessible bathrooms? These are often the things that spring to mind.
But disability inclusion goes a lot deeper than that. 15% of Australian churchgoers are people with disabilities. But many find themselves on the margins of our Church communities.
In the gospel of Luke chapter 14, Jesus teaches us how important it is to welcome people with disabilities to the table to participate in The Great Banquet.
As the Church, we’re called to foster communities that are welcoming and inclusive.
