Camille used to be at the top of her class
At only 6-years-old, Camille is brimming with extraordinary potential.
Last year, she even won an award for being the ‘top student’ in her class. And she’d get through her classwork so quickly, her teacher had to make up special exercises just to keep her busy.
But a playground accident changed all that in an instant…
A few months ago, Camille came home in a flood of tears. Her eye had been hit by accident during a game. Her mum was worried about the red, inflamed looking injury, but after a short time the redness faded, and Camille seemed on the mend.
As the months passed, Camille developed a severe case of photophobia (light sensitivity) and a thick blinding cataract.

Whenever the light stabs her eye, it causes tears of pain to run down her cheeks.
