Restore someone’s sight with life-changing cataract surgery

For 11 years, Australians have come together every August to give the Miracle of sight to people going blind from cataracts in the world’s poorest places.

Each Miracle donated does more than just restore vision to people in need — it has a life-changing impact on their education or employment prospects, and their ability to care for and support their loved ones.

In 2023, the need is great. So we are setting our sights high.

Will you help make 40,000 Miracles happen?

What's a Miracle?

A Miracle is a $33 gift that gives someone blind from cataracts the 12-minute sight-saving surgery needed to restore their sight.

All it takes is a 12-minute operation and your $33 gift to restore eyesights to someone with cataracts who is living in poverty.

Help fight preventable blindness, and transform a life.

Restoring even more than sight

Every one of these Miracles helps someone like Kyle — a playful seven-year-old who developed cataracts last year.

It was debilitating, leaving him unable to attend school or play with his friends.

Your donation not only restores eyesight — it also gives someone a chance to pursue or finish their education, creates more job opportunities and career paths, and opens up their world to new possibilities.

This year you can give even more people
